Collaboration has become a cornerstone for Motech Records. Maintaining its diverse sound requires diverse collaborations. The sound that emerges on "Heritage" is no exception. Combining the ever evolving sound of DJ 3000 and the synth mastery of Esteban Adame (Galaxy 2 Galaxy, Los Hermanos, Ican w/Santiago Salazar). "Heritage" is a driving exploration of where "the sound of Detroit" is going. Joined together are the ethno-percussive elements instrumental to shaping the Motech sound, as well as a dance floor driven synth pattern that beckons your inner desire to move.  The original mix is taken from DJ 3000’s “Galactic Caravan” release.

Underground Resistance Assault DJ Squad’s own DJ Dex aka Nomadico provides a percussive rehash of the original track that is steeped in the rhythm, sounds and tradition of electronic music out of Detroit. Another Motech Records alum and collaborator, Deviant (Arepaz Immigrante Orchestra) provides a soulful, down tempo mix of “Heritage.” His mix gives the original a salsa-esque two-step rhythm that lends the original mix new life.

The Bonus track, “Memory Almost Full” is a remix by O.N.O who is fresh off of the release of his Signa EP, which featured remixes by Mad Mike Banks of the Underground Resistance camp. O.N.O bathes “Memory Almost Full” in his deep, dark murk that comes from those dark Japanese nights. This bonus track is not to be missed.

Each of the re-mixed tracks can be found on the “Galactic Caravan: Remixes” album, dropping February 1st, 2010. Representing the most diverse collection of sounds and collaborations that DJ 3000 has commanded yet, "Galactic Caravan: Remixes" as a whole serves as a roadmap for where Detroit influenced music making is going, all the while remaining true to its roots.
