"Meridian" is a perfect example of DJ 3000's evolution as a producer. The mark of a good producer is to never stop growing, once you do, you are condemned to making the same record over and over again and hoping no one notices. This record is the perfect marriage between the percussive staples of the Motech sound, and a new lighter exploration of sound elements by DJ 3000. "Meridian" dares you to sit still while listening to it, or to stand on the wall if you are near a dance floor. Its ability to make you dance as well as captivating your ear if you are sitting and listening illustrates the dynamic flexibility of the Motech sound.

"Meloudic Landscapes" is a sonic mash of internal conflict, passion and longing. The track moves past the logic decoding portion of your brain and heads straight for your carnal appeal and longing for the things from which you are currently separated from. However, in spite of its driving beat, the synth elements of "Meloudic Landscapes" give it a hopeful, even joyful feel. It reminds us that while we may not have the things we desire at this moment, it will not stay that way forever.

"Meridian" and "Melodic Landscapes" are from the full length DJ 3000 release "Galactic Caravan." DJ 3000's third full length release exhibits the unique blend of ethno-percussive and Detroit techno soul elements that have come to define the Motech experience.
